    Support a Local Shelter

The Valdosta corporate office held a "Diaper Shower" for Options Now for the 2nd quarter service project. Along with lots of diapers, baby wipes and gently used clothing were also collected. Ashton Meadows Property Manager Ruth Tywon even donated a crib!  Nice work to all who helped and contributed!

Greenville’s Corporate office partnered with the Julie Valentine Center in Greenville for this quarter’s community service project. The organization, which helps children and women of abuse, had a list of needed items that the Greenville staff worked to collect throughout the quarter.  Then, in June, Administrative Assistant Wanda Hart, Systems Implementation Director Mack Casey, Marketing Director Kim Lerstang and Senior Property Manager Tammy Morgan delivered all the collected items to JVC rep Robin Longino.  They were extremely grateful for all the donations, and Ambling was honored to help!

Bay Park Property Manager Katia Kilpatrick and Leasing Consultant Devon Rosado volunteered at the King’s Kitchen, an outreach ministry in Bay St. Louis, Mississippi, that has been serving the homeless since 2012. There, they handed out lunches to the homeless in the area and over 100 people stopped by that day.  Katia and Devon said they were humbled to help serve their community.

The staff at Arcadia Apartments took time to volunteer at the Atlanta Humane Society for their “Support a Local Shelter” service project.  Property Manager Lesha Cook, Leasing Consultants Shayna Turner, Teresa North, and Christopher Lee, Maintenance Supervisor Joshua Widner, and Maintenance Tech Joshua Ferguson all provided a little TLC to some furry friends, gave several dogs a bath and helped clean up the building.  They even had some Arcadia team bonding in the process!

Several of our properties partnered with the local homeless shelters in their area for their community service event.  The staffs from Piedmont Park and Park Pines volunteered at the Hattiesburg Salvation Army Women and Children’s Shelter to hand out lunches to the needy.  In addition, they were able to paint canvases with a few of the shelter members to remind everybody that "many times in our lives, we are at crossroads and just do not know when and how we are going to cross over."  It was a great experience for the staff members and a wonderful way to help the Hattiesburg community!

Vaughn Towers also went to their local rescue mission this quarter. They spend an afternoon serving lunch to the area homeless. Property Manager Vania Keener and Leasing Consultant Daisye Williams said it was a very humbling experience that they thoroughly enjoyed.

Ashton Pointe Property Manager Brandy Stephens had a unique selection for this quarter’s community service project.  She partnered with the No Kid Hungry organization on a Bake Sale to raise money and awareness about childhood hunger.  To start, Ashton Pointe held a pizza party for the residents to discuss ideas and plans for the fundraiser. Some of the residents even helped with baked goods and donated items.  The event was a success and a great way to raise some much needed money for a worthy cause.

The staffs at Cameron Park and Arbor Park teamed up to collect much needed items for a local charitable organization for their community service work. Arbor Park Property Manager Tam Thompson, Arbor Park Leasing Agent Zhaneshia Jones, Cameron Park Property Manager Pam Terrell and Cameron Park Leasing Agent Valencia McDowell Jones gathered toiletries and clothing for the Stewpot Community Services organization and then delivered the donations to several very grateful Stewpot representatives.

The staff at Ten68 West completed their community service project by working with BeLoved Atlanta, an organization that works with women who are victims of human trafficking. They collected needed items through donations from employees and residents.  Leasing Agent Brittany Ricks, Leasing Agent Faith Boyle, Property Manager Sheryl Melton, and Maintenance Supervisor Rod Risner all delivered the goods in their matching BeLoved shirts. Great job, Ten68 West!
