Ambling Conducts "Share the Love" Food Drive Company Wide
Ambling's corporate offices and dozens of individual properties Ambling manages held a month-long Share the Love Food Drive as its 2018 1st quarter service project. The food drive was a massive success, as over 4000 items were collected. After announcing the project in mid-February, each property was challenged to decorate a collection box in the most creative way possible and promote the drive among their residents and community. The response was overwhelming. Several of the properties collected over 400 items from their generous employees, residents and neighbors, including over 500 items donated at Merchants Court in Dallas, Georgia!
Each property selected a local charity or food bank in which the donations would be given. These organizations included MUST Ministries in Marietta, Georgia, Dream Center of Jackson, Mississippi, and Five Loaves and Two Fish Pantry in Griffin, Georgia, only to name a few. The number of meals created and lives helped was numerous, and Ambling is proud of its wonderful, generous employees who helped make this project so special. As an incentive for the properties to participate, Ambling offered prizes in 3 categories: Best decorated collection box, most food collected (property) and most food collected (region). The winners were:
